If you don't have an airdam that's probably a big culprit since you can't get hardly any air through the radiator without it...

when im driving but its weird cuz i can be at a light and then the temp is fine. i never had the air dam. it would always overheat but as long as i had the ac or any other fan on it would stay cool. it dont wanna work that way anymore for some reason.

Well you are certainly on the right track, you need to check your water pump, becaue it may have gone bad. But before you do, you must reinstall your air dam back, because that is most likely the reason why its happening

The air dam can cause it to get hot very quickly without it. I test drove my car after fixing and left the air dam off cause I was in a hurry and it heated up.. put it back on and didn't have the problem again. Your water pump could be going bad, check and see if water is leaking out the back of it.

check first on the side of the water if its leaking if its not then most likely thats not the problem check hoses for restrictions thats what happened to me i ran out of choices and booomed there it was a plugged aluminum hose that runs behind the the heads.....it could be something sample too check for air pockts

make sure both the low and the high fan are coming on, also have the coolant flushed and filled if it hasnt been done, or bleed the system for excess air
