opti spark

is it necessary to find TDC in order to change the opti spark? what will happen if TDC is not found before the removal of the opti spark??

Makes no difference. It only goes in one way, but you must make sure not to force it. There is a difference on how the vented and unvented key in. Get a repair manual to be sure.

oh okay thanks pete, well i remove my old opti spark and install another one, the car still does not start! i'm going to check for spark coming out of the distributor!

what happens to the optical sensor when moister is present, other than not allowing to distingush the slotted? does the optical sensor burn??
