Oil Pressure guage

Oil Pressure guage
Just did a header install and while doing so manage to bust the oil pressure sensor and it throws the "Check guages light" which is really annoying. Any ways, is there a way I can get the light off, other than buying a new sensor? The reason I ask is because the sensor is really close to the header and if I get a new one, I'm worried the wire will burn up since there's no where to tie it.
I've thought about putting in a new mechanical guage because I like them more for some reason. I just always found them to be more accurate than electrical. Would I be able to connect where the stock one was located? Possibly use where the 95+ models have it?

All righty, good to know. Would I be able to use a mechanical gauge as a "plug and play" on the back of the intake? And will it shut off the check gauges light or am I gonna need either a stock or aftermarket electric gauge to shut it off?

gona need to have it tuned out or get the stock gauge working. the computer needs the readout from the sensor to know if its working or not. im sure you could use a resistor on the curcuit to fool the computer but if your tuning it anyways its easier to do it that way.

Eh, I think I'm just gonna get a new sensor then. Just seems easier to do since I don't really have time to do some creative interior work to add a mechanical gauge right now. Plus, I want that annoying light out! Haha.
