Exclamation no start (only when it wants too)

I need some help guys. my 94z is acting up and now it wont start. It started from running good to dieing while i was driving. I let it sit there for a while and it would fire then die again. So fart the test that i have done on it is check my coil, and ICM which i have replace and still nothing. The distrubutor is almost 2 years old and plugs and wires. But there is not many miles on it since i dont drive it so much. When i check for spark at from the coil there is no spark at all. anyone have place for me to look at? i was told to check my fuel pressure and fuel pump relay! have not done that yet! one thing i notice is that when i open the ignition switch i CAN here the pump come on.

so when u turn the motor over to try and start it u have no spark. first make sure your getting power to the coil. should be the pink wire. if power there then check the coil (did u have it chacked) and coil wire and the ignition modual. they are mounted together on the front of the head on the driver side. i would suspect the ignition modual if your getting power to the coil

if you arent getting a spark from the coil,it will not start regardless of fuel pressure.did it throw any codes?did you have it scanned?check all wiring.coils, icm and opti's can and will go bad .sometimes short lived.but check for stored codes if possible.

most 94s have a obd2 plug and a obd1 computer. u have to have a scanner that will work with it. most autozones and other parts stores dont have the right stuff to do it. call around the local parts stores and see if they can test your coil and ignition modual. that would be the first thing to test.
