Default Nitrous

I am fairly new to the lt1 world and have a few questions? So far I have added: BBK 52mm throttle bottle, Grantelli mass air flow sensor,410 gears, meizer electric water pump, msd ignition and distributor( distributor on order think the new igniton box fried my 160,000 mile opti) new fuel pump( flows good up to 750hp) cold air induction with K&N airfilter, 75 shot nitrous works wet system, new plugs and wires. When I rebuild i would like to go with bigger cam ( open for suggestions) and of course some type of head work or possible new heads. My question is i have heard that you can not use a programmer with nitrous as it could cause detonation. Is this true? If so would I not need to reprogam it if I put in a bigger cam and better heads but not be able to use my nitrous system?? I am a little confused about this??

the programmers only work up to a certain point, you need to get a custom tune after your heads/cam/nitrous and tell whoever is doing the tuning for you what your palns are and they can tune it for you.

Try PCM For Less, they have a PCM exchange program. WWW.pcmforless.com

I don't know how your nitrous system handles spark and fuel, but essentially you need to tune the engine with all the mods first, and then add the fuel enrichment and spark retard when the nitrous is applied.
