Default new to site, have 96 z28, is there anything i should know about them for starters

hey guys, i am new to the site and have a 96 z28 6 speed lt1, i have had it for a year and have already replaced the pinion bearings, is there any major problems i should know about this year, the car only has 38k on the clock so far?? tell me what you think thanks!!!!

ya i thought about it for a bit, but i cant live without it, just way to much fun to part with, i cancled the adds yesterday but they are still showing

LT1's are know for the intake manifold leaking oil...so be prepared to have to fix the intake gaskets.

they are also somewhat prone to blowing head gaskets, however that shouldn't happen to you for a while so you should be good there

i'm kind of drawing a blank on anything else so i'm sure someone else can help out more...but for the most part, the car is a really solid car. you take care of it, she will take care of you. they do tend to go through rear tires pretty quick...not sure as to why

the good ol opti. if your milage is correct u should have 30 to 60k miles to go before u have problems. keep the car well serviced and she will not let u down. kinda like a... well u know. nice ride. have u done an official intro in the new members section? welcome to the forum.
