Default NEW PROBLEM AND UPDATE

to start id like to say that i fixed the overheat problem, itll still get hott somtimes at an idle but when i take off it drops to 50% mark. i think thats fixed everyone says we run hot.

i didnt recharge the a/c, i tried but when i put the nozzel in the ac plug its like nothing would come out of the bottle the gauage stayed in the green and wouldnt go to the blue( where the gauge says is good) i had the car on ac on max all that so im screwed with that.

. the heater core is plugged im sure, as z28pete said the hoses arnt hot under the hood indicating clogged heater core.

HERES THE NEW PROBLEM... tonight when i was driving my gf say it was so cold so i thought, hey meybe i will get a little heat if i leave it on long enough but this time when i turned it on i smelt like a burning smell (kinda like when somone 1st turns on a furnace that hasnt been messed with in a long time ) so i turned it off being parinoid of a fire er somthin. we got to the store and came back out like 10 mins later and notice some fluid leaking under the car !!! so we drive home and when i pulled in to my drive way i turned the wheel all the way over and when i did i hear like a grinding noise. the grinding noise only happens when the wheel is turned all the way to one direction. could this be my power stering pump???
i checked the fluid it looked low probably cause it leaked out!! so is that what the noise could be and the fluid on the ground at the store was from? sound about right? also woukld that burning smell have aything to do with it? ive never smelt that before when i used to drive with the defroster on!
thanx all,
kyle

Default RE: NEW PROBLEM AND UPDATE

The noise is probably from low fluid in the power steering, pump is picking up air. Leaking fluid will cause a stink if it lands on hot exhaust pipes, and may even go on fire.
