New to LT1 and haveing a sputring problem

i like to use summit because they are so good about replacing a part. most parts stores will not replace a electonic part once it leaves the store. i recomend the gm performance opti. it costs but installing is not something you want to do every year. my last gm performance opti lasted about 100k miles. with a 94 you will want to mod it to a vented opti. i believe theres a sticky on it.

Ok thanks for the help, I'm gonna tear into it and see what i got. To be honest i bought the car kinda cheap with the hope to flip it, i did 't really know what i was getting into. With any luck i'll find a bad plug wire. Ha that would be too lucky. This is what i get for not doing my research.

Well i put in a new distributor, plugs, and wires, and coil. Still the same problem. Any other ideas? Since i have spark, and fuel pressure is good at the rail, could it be injectors? They all read good with a meter. I can hear them all clicking. But then this problem doesn't happen till i actually drive the car not at idle.

if one of your speed sensors are messing up that would set your abs off and screw with the computer. there are three on yours one in the back at the center of the rearend, two at the front, one each in the wheel bearing hubs. check the wiring on them first, theres a harness that likes to go out on the passenger side. the speedo is working so im assuming its not the vss. shbox has some real good info on testing sensors have a look at what on his website. i just google shbox and it comes up.

would be a good time to have the injectors cleaned and flow tested at a good injector shop. not costly if you remove them and send or take them in. test the maf https://camaroforums.com/forum/4th-g...62/#post527062 , i assume you have changed the fuel filter. 4th Gen LT1 F-body Fuel Filter Replacement do a fuel pressure test on it for piece of mind. 4th Gen LT1 F-body Tech Articles test the throttle position sensor, (Check the voltage output from the TPS with the ignition on (engine off) on the dark blue wire at the TPS. Reference the signal to ground. You should get a 07 to 5.0VDC range from the TPS with a very linear output from idle to WOT positions. If the voltage jumps or drops as you move the TPS, the sensor is likely failing).

my vote is for a bad fuel pump. my car was doing the same thing. my fuel pressure was really low. test tour fuel pressure before you get carried away. my pump was at 28psi, had i tested it last year i might not have needed a opti, but i thought my opti was bad and it may have been fine. so check that fuel pressure asap. harbor frieght sells a efi fuel pressure gauge that screws right on the scrader valve. under $20
