RE: new Hub assembly
Buy the new one first. When you have the old one off try movign the threaded shaft, and then compare it to the new one. The old one should be easy to move and the new one should be nice and tight.

RE: new Hub assembly
Those things are called Zerk fittings or grease fittings. Get a cheap grease gun and I HIGHLY recomend getting the flexible attatchment. I personally use the Mobil 1 Synthetic grease, but I have noticed it liquifies. There is also marine grease and lithium grease. Lithium grease is the most common. I also use marine grade grease in another grease gun for the trailer for the water craft, and I personally like using it because it is harder to break down and it resists water. Yes, it is recomended to grease the fittings every 3000 miles.
Here are a couple ones I recomend

Your local auto parts store will have the grease gun, the hose, and the different types of grease.

RE: new Hub assembly
OK i finally got the parts in today, and i want to still them asap, but the thing is that none of my local auto parts stores rent a slide hammer, what can happen if i hit the hub assebly with a hammer just enough to get it loose, or what can i do in this case?

RE: new Hub assembly
First make sure you unbolt the hub assembly from the steering knuckle (the forged piece that connects between the upper and lower control arms). There are 4 bolts holding the hub to the knucle, and once the bolts are removed it should come off easily. However, being you are replacing it you can bang on it all you want, just don't beat up the rest of the suspension. Also, make sure that the rotors and calipers are removed firts, and the ABS cable disconnected.
