Default Need Some Help

Ok I just got a 1994 Z28 Camaro (Automatic) And I need Some help. I dont know what to do. I hear everyone talking about basic bolt on parts or w/e but I really have no idea what they are (I'm a noob) So can someone help me? I'm trying to get more power out of the car but I'm just starting out as far as working on cars so I need to get the simple stuff before I move up to other things.

-Thanks Krink Freak

There are a handful of threads (even within this sub-forum) that deal with upgrading/modding basics. I'd go around and read some of those posts, only because people don't like reposting suggestions to already asked questions. But just to get an idea started, I would look up slp lids, CAI kits, k&n filters.... accessories focusing more on the air flow into your car. Lurk around the forums... u'll find much.

Like Ophee said, there are tons of questions exactly like this, but I'll be nice and help you out...

If you're just starting out, your first purchase should be either a cold air intake(for your '94 you should look into a K&N, Moroso or SLP, you need the whole intake assembly, not just the filter) and a cat back exhaust. Do both of those, then you can start thinking a bit bigger on mods.

After you get that done the next step for your breathing situation would be to buy a set of headers that will bolt right up to your motor, its fairly easy comparitively speaking and will have a dramatic result when all said and done. Just open up a Jegs mag there is a whole section devoted to just your motor

I agree. Was a GM mechanic for some years before it was cool to be one. Improving your engines breathing, inhaling/exhaling, is the first and cheapest trail to horsepower. After that, the dollars start to flow out of your wallet. The limit is up to you.
