I am trying to assemble Strange S5271 front shocks with Hypercoil Springs for a 95 camaro z28. This is a pic I found on the internet of this setup assembled. I ordered the shocks, springs, and strut mounts new. In the pic there seems to be a large washer and something else that goes between the strut mount and the top spring perch. Can someone tell me what this is and where to buy one or is this something that comes off the original shocks I removed from the car? I appreciate all the help!

 

Looks like a spring perch to me. It is not stock it must be for the system that is being used in the picture. Stock looks like the pic below. (minus the damaged spindle)



You may just have to wait and see what you get with your new system before you can tell if you need it or not.

Here is a pic of what I have. Can you tell me what is missing compared to the other pic? This is all that came with the shocks, springs, and strut mounts. It looks like something is missing compared to the other pic. Thanks.

 

That part that is missing from your strut looks like a mounting bushing and washer. Check your parts bag for a bushing and washer.
