Did you get all your electrical stuff hooked up and working right? In your other thread, you had a Christmas tree of diagnostic lights on in the dash. One important thing you need to have hooked up is your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the trans. The computer needs to know how fast the car is going to control the shifts. Is your speedo working?

yes everythings hooked up speedo works (ses is the air pump) i cant see the abs and airbag lights keeping the car from shifting (also the abs went out now its just ses airbag and low coolant) in going to try a new filter and fluid to see if that helps

check fuse to the maf. heres a couple things i found.

No 3rd or 4th gear: “3-4” clutches are worn out. R&R. The car is safe to drive (in 2) until you can get it fixed.

No 3rd and 4th gear.
^
The transmission does not shift correctly.
^
The transmission feels like it shifts to Neutral or a loss of drive occurs.

The vehicle free wheels above 48 km/h (30 mph). High RPM needed to overcome the free wheeling.

Cause
The most likely cause is chips or debris plugging the bleed orifice of the 2-3 shift solenoid . This will cause the transmission to stay in 2nd gear when 3rd gear is commanded and return to 1st gear when 4th gear is commanded.
DTC P0757 may also be set if the 2-3 shift valve (368) or 2-3 shuttle valve (369) were stuck, restricted and/or hung-up in its bore.
Correction
^
Inspect / Clean the 2-3 shift valve (368), the 2-3 shuttle valve (369) and the valve bore of debris / metal chips.
^
Inspect / Clean the 2-3 shift solenoid opening of debris / metal chips. While inspecting the 2-3 shift solenoid (367), look for a screen over the solenoid opening. If the solenoid DOES NOT have a screen, replace the solenoid with P/N 10478131 that does have a screen over the solenoid opening.
Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for additional diagnostic information and service procedures.

3-4 Clutch or forward drum. I thought mine was the clutch but it busted the forward drum.

thats exactly whats going on its fine up to about 30 then i have to bring the rpms up to 4000-4500 to go any faster

this is why i HATE automatic transmissions too much bull****

Has this trans ever worked for you? First thing i would do is pull the pan and see whats in the bottom. If the clutch pack failed there should be a lot of clutch material. Unless the seal just blew out.

Prolonged use of 2nd gear will cause the tranny to over heat. That will not really matter if the 3-4 clutch packs are shot cause its a rebuild either way.

lol no i drove it around the block yesterday got it up to 55 fine this morning i went around the block again all good then i get it registered and go to leave for work and its like this... now i pulled the pan fluid seems smooth and there little metal on the magnet. i pulled out the solenoids... now each one has a rod the drivers side rod has spring tension and the pass side doesnt so im thinking the spring broke (im sure theres supposed to be one there) also is there anyway to test the solenoids are they 12V

cam69 alltho i did buy this car thinking it only needed an opti im only in it 1100$ i figure even if i have to put another grand in the car im still getting a deal (knock on wood)

is my trans a 4l60 or a 4l60E i thought they changed in 95 but im reading they used the E in 94

I know, I'm kiddin with you! lol
Your trans is a 4L60E, 94 was the first year for cars, trucks got it in 93. You should be seeing some shift solenoids/wires to the valve body.

ya i see that i actually have the solenoids sitting right next to me its the rods that i think is the problem like i said the one on the pass side has no spring... if i push it in with my finger it just stays there the one on the drivers side bounces back out
