I've been looking for a 4th gen camaro and found one in my price range.
But before I buy I need help.
Its a 93'Z with a 95 LT1 in it, It has a port and polished Throttle body, K@N cold air kit, Flomaster exhaust, red arm strong fuel pump, tr55 plugs ,opti cap an button a/c delete pulley with 342 posi.

Being a 93' will I need a after markit performance chip or can I get a programmer sence it has a 95'LT1 motor?
Also What would you say it would run in a quarter?

 

does the car run fine? if so dont worry bout it.

 

Assuming it has a 95 harness and PCM you could waist your money on a programmer, or for $450 buy LT Edit and be able to literally tune anything in the PCM you want. The car should run high 13's as it sits.

bluoval, maybe he wants to swap a cam or maybe it was never programmed for the gear swap. You really need to stop cluttering up tech sections with useless banter and your questionable opinions. If you are just trying to get you post count up for reason, please stop.

 

I was wanting to higher the shift points and put 4.10's and then if I have any money left throw some headers.If I do these threw things will I be able to keep up with the early LS1 camaro's.


I don't know much about the computer motors.

 

Does it have an auto or is it manual? If it's an auto go 3.73 max on the gears, if you go 4.10 your first gear will be rediculously short. With the mods listed and headers/Y pipe you should be able to keep up with an LS1, hell, my Camaro ran the same time as an LS1 at the track, although I don't think the driver was very good, because 13.8 at sea level isn't a very good time for a stock LS1, but it could be close.

 

I called the guy about it yesterday and he sold it. Only wanted $2500 for it!

 

I trying to find a LT1 car.

IF any one knows any thing about a 93'caprice police intercepter(Ex state trooper car) IF you would give me some info please.
Like 1/4 mile time and 0-60, And what ever else you know about them.
