Default need advice on cam

Got a 95z28 and Im thinking about buying a cam from someone whoalso had a camaro but sold the car before heput the cam in, so Im wanting to know how this cam will do driving/rough idle wise. The specs are .538 intake lift and .534 exhaust lift, duration @ .050 is 224 intake and 230 exhaust. Also need a clutch and would like some advice for something reliable for the price and not too high perfomance that it'll cost a whole lot, basically just better than stock. thanks for the help

For a clutch the Ram units are decent as are the SPECs. What is the CL of the cam? It has enough duration to be preety lopey but a higher CL could bring that down a bit. You will need new valve springs with cam as well.

That's a lot of lift for the stock heads as well. It'd make a good amount of power, but probably isn't going to be the most streetable cam. Is it a daily driver or just a weekend car?

It is a daily driver in summer, but I do have another vehicle. Are you saying it could be bad for daily drivingor would the cam make me not want to drive it daily and why? And what about the heads, I wasn't going to upgrade but.......?thanks for the replies

224 intake duration is a pretty steep amount for a daily driver, with that amount of valve overlap you'll have a pretty rough idle for a daily driver. If you have emissions to worry about you may want to think of getting a little less aggressive of a cam as well, that one is probably on the edge of not being able to pass. As far as the heads go, a .538 lift is a lot for any small block head, and the more lift you have the more stress there is on the valve train. You also don't want to have to worry about piston/valve interference. It'll work, it'll be fast, but it won't be as good of a daily driver.
