start with lower control arms and relocation brackets...an adustable torque arm and some good shocks all the way around. oh yeah...you'll want some sub frame connectors too

hey torque is good you do your thing and i do mine!
I rode in race cars all my life. let everbody know that i do not do any racing when my kids are in the car. Its just like having a old muscle car you want to have ***** and handle good meaning good suspension. and still be a weekend car with the kids. so if you mis understood sorry[:@]my daughter is 5 and she rides in her grandpas car to the staging lanes and that is a 900hp 56 chevy belair[8D]

Make sure to wash your hands first! Who knows what your finger may have touched.

Seriously, these cars were pretty good handling machines when new, but 14 years later most suspension parts are fairly well worn out. Before doing anything else, the suspension should be rebuilt, such as new ball joints, inner & outer tie rod ends, and all new bushings front & rear. For a street car, good set of shocks front & rear, such as Bilstein or DeCarbon (if GM still stocks them), better LCAs in the rear, and perhaps a set of subframe connectors will wake up the handling under power. You don't want to make the suspension too stiff for road use, as the wheels will loose contact with the road over rough surfaces and mess up handling and traction.
