Default my air injection removal manifold plugs aka oil drain plugs! pics

so i removed my air pump when i replaced my opti and water pump. i was digging thru our box of oil drain plugs at work and found ones that thread right into the stock manifold. i was going to just weld the stock ones origianlly and i did but these look nicer no clue what size they are or what they fit. there was a plug for a engine block or trans that fit too

You can buy NPT (National Pipe Thread) plugs in the plumbing section of your local hardware store. Without knowing the size, you'd need to take the old fitting in with you to match the diameter, or use a micrometer if you have one. How hard was it getting your air tubes off the manifold? That's the toughest part of the whole thing.

i just cut the tubes and used a 22mm deep socket, and a breaker bar. no problems. my oil drain plugs have 19mm heads. but anyways for anyone wanting to do this a auto parts store should have a drain plug that fits. and its a cleaner look than the hacked weld jobs ive seen on cars. i dont know why i even did it since i am getting long tubes soon
well you still need to know the thread pitch and all that good stuff. i vhave my micrometer out right now and one of those plugs its about 21.45 mmm outside the threads and 20.66 in the valleys. i used to have a thread gauge i think its a 22 x 1.5 plug though

remove maf and intake and theres about 3 bolt holding the air pump in and 2 hoses and a wire connector.you have to remove the coil and ignition control module but its really easy. the stainless tube is harder that goes from one side of the exhaust to the other. i just cut it in half under the crank and wiggled it out.theres no gains from doing this just ugly usless junk in a already crammed engine bay. and if you get non emissions headers you cant use it anyways. car will still pass emissions tail pipe test without it

What did you do with the wires going into it? if you leave them will it trip the check engine light?
