My '96 LT-1 Z28 is NO CLUNKER!
My Neighbor came over last night (He Has a Black '06 Honda Ridgeline) told me I should do the "Cash 4 Clunkers" with my 22,000 mile Black '96 Z28 & buy a new Honda Ridgeline or an Accord. I said "Dream on buddy! My Z gets as good of mileage as a Ridgeline does & besides, anyone who likes to DRIVE a Black Ridgline must be from San FranCisco..." +
It took a while for him to get it as he is about as smart as a box of Hot
rocks! Anyway, he went back home grumbling.
People with Hondas really think they are something -what I Dunno know! ??

Clunker...
Yep. I wanna know what people's reactions are to this. I have several American cars that my neighbors put down. ( They drive Hondas & Yodas )
They all say that I'm socially irresponsible! I tired of taking it. I keep my
cars up - they are not clunkers!
There is nothing wrong with american cars.
Thank you!

You're socially irresponsible for having an American car?
How about all those who buy new furrin cars, sending the manufacturers' profit dollars out of our country?

He couldn't even buy a real truck? Ford and Chevy have been making solid trucks for a long while now...how many Ridgelines do you see hauling anything besides all their idiot friends to go flap their gums at Starbucks about how great Honda is. Your neighbor sounds like a tool. Please do a burnout in his driveway.

I personally think that if you buy a car and take care of it, it will take care of you. I've seen plenty of imports that are "clunkers." The 08 Toyota Tundra was on the "do not buy" list due to it's reliability...isn't that what Toyota is known for? There are good cars and bad cars of all makes and models. I personally think this clunker law that passed is a very irresponsible decision. It looks good on the surface: You get a certain credit toward a car that gets a minimum of 8mpg better than the one your driving if you get that one disposed of so it cannot be driven anymore. What they fail to think about is how much energy is going to go into disposing of the cars that you turn in?
