My '95 Z28 has "Altitude Sickness"

OK...Here goes...To the best of my ability. My "Bone Stock" '95 Z28 LT1 w/ 460LE runs perfect "almost" anywhere I go. I live near Phoenix and only drive it on weekends. We do drives at lower elevations and the car performs flawlessly. For some reason, the 3 times we have taken it up to higher elevations, above 6,000 feet, it starts to sputter, then dies. Will attempt to restart and chugs like mad. Opened the gas cap and has had a huge vapor lock every time as well. After 10 minutes or so, car will restart and run again...so long as we are heading back to lower elevations. When I try to continue uphill...car does the same, almost immediately. I'll answer as many questions as I can...All help is greatly appreciated. Hope I explained this correctly. Also, Car shows no CEL when it starts to happen.🥴

Thank You...I'll look into that. Cleaning the MAF Sensor today. Looked pretty dirty.
