Default muffler suggestions?

I am going to be replacing my stock exhaust on my 95 z28 with just a single 3" pipe. I cant seem to decide what kind of muffler I want though. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I recommend FlowMasters as well. Good deep throaty sound. If you want louder, more obnoxious sound, use a Cherry Bomb muffler.

Got a flowmaster on mine and love it, it gives you a good deep sound and I dont have to yell for my passenger to hear me.

will there be a cat? and do you have any headers? more info on your car would be very helpful! I have 3" all the way back with no cat and a Borla muffler that Y''s to 2 dual Borla tips mounted under the licence plate! kinda like the SS! but look like the @$$ end of a corvete! Oh yea I also have Pace setter off road LT headers and Pace setter off road 3" Y-pipe that goes all the way back, as straight as possible! Hope this helps!

Stock headers and yes the cat is still there. I am trying to go for a throaty deep sound and with as little restriction as possible.

You are going to bring 2 pipes out the back arent you? Also, I agree with Flowmaster.

im not a fan of the flowmasters but they are kinda loud, as for air restriction you will need to also be thinking of a CAI of some kind, I personally like K&N but thats me. And then you will need some headers.( LT, get the most bang for your buck) With these few extra mods you will be happy with that flowmaster but I just dont think you can beat that Borla sound on these 4th gens Z28's! oh yea! Do you have a budget and what are you looking to spend?

No. Since everything goes into one pipe to my cat its pointless to go dual exhaust after that.

I already have a cai, no headers, I am not wealthy by any means so I am trying to spend as little as possible. Getting a muffler and building an exhaust around it is what I am looking to do. Headers and a cam will be next but not for a while.
