Motor Question???????????

Depends on which direction you're going with the years. Starting in 96, the LT1 has a separate crank sensor, the 95 and older doesn't have it. Putting an older LT1 in a 96 and newer car, without changing the timing cover to add the sensor, will render that part of the system's diagnostic inoperative and trip the check engine light.

well rite now its just bare block so i am buying all new sensors so basically should i be buying sensor that are for a 96 or 97 (which is the new block) or should i be buying sensors for the car which is a 94?

The basic engine is the same. To keep things compatible, and to avoid any chance of mis-matched wiring and plugs, I'd put it together with the same kind of sensors the engine in the car had.

yes all the sensors are the same. the opti is different like 69 is sayin but sence you are putting a 96-97 motor in a 94 then the only thing you will need is a 95-97 opti. if you are not using a newer front cover and cam then you need a spline drivin, non vented opit.
