Default LT5 and Dual CAI

I'm curious on two things. One if I could find a LT5 out of a 93 Vette, would it be worth the money to swap out my LT1 for?

And second, would having two CAI feeding the intake increase horsepower at all?

Damn. I was hoping it'd be just expensive to buy. Haha. Guess that's out of the books.

What about the double CAI. Or did one of your no's pertain to that?

to much air is as bad as not enough, volume and speed of air is what counts, if you add to much flow you lose speed of air.

Craby. As much as you are right about everything all the time... An LT5 in a 4th gen would be amazing... I would do it, and id drive it everywhere. Yea they are expensive to maintain, but if you treat them right and do the maintenance they are SUPER reliable, and AMAZINGLY powerful

93-95 LT5's put out 405 Hp, where else '92 and earlier where around 375 or so. Still pretty banging for stock motor, but it'd be nice to have the extra 30 hp to start with, eh?

It would certainly be something different. That's why I got the idea. Most people on here either swap for LT4 or LS, bore and stroke to 383 and the such. It'd be cool to say, hey, I got an LT5! Most people haven't even ever heard of them!

Seems to me a good idea would be to just get an LS6- brand new they're $6500 so not much more than that higher-mileage LT5 up there, and it makes just as much power.

And it'd be cheaper to maintain since it's actually still in production, and not super-rare.

But a LT5 would get double looks and lots of questions. I mean a LS6 would be nice too..but like you said, it's common. I mean this is more of an idea or even dream. I don't have a couple grand right now to through down on any engine. But I was curious on others thoughts with this. I'm sure not very many come here asking about the LT5. Haha.

Also, craby any ideas on improving volume and speed of my air?
