Question lt4 hotcam

hey im probably going to buy an lt4 hot cam kit, lt pacesetter headers a 3' ory pipe and cutouts along with an slp lid. curious as to, is there anything else i should get or consider. can the transmission handle it as the the car is stock. also who installs camshaft kits as i dont have the time to do it myself and how much do you suppose it'll run me. thanks

120000 miles on her so ill be getting ls7 lifters to go with it as well. what would be some other lifters i should consider? i will send it in somewhere to get a tune what would be the best place you think?

the pushrods don't look bad...but i would personally go with a chromemoly pushrod for added security.

LS7 lifters are the only lifters i would put in my engine

chain kit looks good my friend!

now, i feel i wouldn't be doing my job if i didnt' say that the LT4 hotcam is old technology and there are much better options out there...but if you're happy with the hotcam then go for it!

sweet thanks i take a look at the chromemolley or w/e lol. i heard that there might be an issue with the ls7 lifters. will they work just fine?

what issue did you hear of? i've never heard of anyone having issues with them but i guess its possible

i was looking around on forums and people were saying they were to short or something it doesn't sound lagit so ill get the ls7's

whats all this about cammed lt1's spinning+losing a rod bearing? is this something to worry about with the hotcam Ive picked? whats the preventive measures on this?

how many miles are on your car? the hotcam really isn't that aggressive so you shouldn't have to worry about it...but if its got a ton of miles on it then it might be something to look into.

but honestly, you should be fine

ok its got 120k not bad i guess. i cant believe the cheapest i could find to get it installed is 1100 bucks with a tune and any other needed parts! is it easy to do myself???
