Default lt1 trouble

i have a 1995 z28 with the lt1. my car has a rough start if i dont give it gas then it dies and when i drive it the car overheats if i just idle. also when i first take off the car hesitates to go and it does it again around 40mph does anyone know what it could be someone said it could be a clogged cat.

The reason the scanner gets no codes is probably because the wrong scaner was used. Yous car needs a ABDI scanner but the connector is for OBDII, so a bastardized connecting cable is needed. Get the car scanned by someone that really knows about your car and take care of whatever codes are pulled first.
