Well, that is the price for a performance rebuild here in CA. It is gonna cost you that much to get it rebuilt. Like I said, your best bet is to pull one from the junkyard. Replacing the M6 really isn't difficult.

Hope you enjoy the car when you get it all together though. I did a trans swap on my 69' camaro a few weeks ago, but I doubt they're the same by much...
