Default LT1 swap into a 66 Nova

Hey, I have a LT1 supposedly out of a 96 Corvette and I was thinking about swaping it into a 66 Nova. I dont want to have to deal with the FI/computer,etc...so I was thinking about running a carb. I would like to use HEI instead of the opti as well. I know GMPP makes the intake but I was wondering if I could use a Gen 1 sbc cam. Also, what kind of power could I expect with one of these intakes. thanks Collin

Why would you want to use a Gen I sbc cam when the LT1 is a full hydrolic roller assembly? You can get much higher ramp rates etc. out of a hydrolic roller cam which equates to much better HP/Torque curves. As far as getting rid of the EFI etc. It's more than possible it's just a matter of getting the parts.
