Default LT1 Startup after sitting up

I'm doing an LT1 swap into a 2nd gen f-body. Then engine/trans package I have has been sitting for a couple of years with no fluids in either the trans or engine. It has been kept dry and rather clean.

What steps should I take prior to starting the engine when the time comes? Should I go through disassembly and regasketing or fill with fluids and go? Any help greatly appreciated!

You will need to rebuild them before you try and run them. The rings in the engine are probaly rusted to the walls at this point and the valves are probaly rusted shut. You can not just leave a engine or tranmission sit for years with out any fluids in them. I would strongly recomend a rebuild.
