if its got a hole in the diafram the fuel pressure regulator can leak fuel into the vacumn system, from there to the cylinders. fuel pressure regulator is at the back of the injector rails and inline on the fuel lines. pull the vacumn hose off and see if its got gas in it or reeks of gas.

BTW, if your FPR is BAD, get it R&R'd ASAP and PDQ so that you're not SOL...OK?

FYI, the opti had friggin' water IN it! Put the MSD pro billet opti on.......JUNK!!!! Total, complete, unadulterated garbage!!!!! Right out of the box it didn't even TRY and work! Swapped it for another one, same damn thing except it worked for A DAY! Threw it in the trash, put an OEM opti on, boom, fired right up, runs like champ. Still getting the wierd "bogging" at 3k under full throttle which gets worse after warm up. I suspect MAF, it has a crack and small piece missing right behind those filaments. Also, I tried to read codes and it said "unable to communicate with computer".

this is the second time ive heard of the maf popping a hole in them. i understand that they get a hot spot in them and a pressure build up. replace it and should be good to go. msd has a warrenty on them u should have been able to send it back. u have a obd 1.5 (odb1 computer with obd2 plugin) so u will need a scanner that will work with it to get codes.
