ORIGINAL: green goblin

I have a similar problem on a 96 z28.I had some headers installed and a few days later I noticed the rpm idle dropped from normal 900 rpm to about 500. Every time I step on the accelerator it bogs, feels like its missing all the way to 2000 rpm, after that the car runs fine. Both cats are off but the o2 censors are still on. Can anyone help with this issue? Thanx
You could do as evilbeef54 did, and make sure the plug wires are not touching the hot headers and getting roasted.

i accually didnt lose any ground clearance on my headers and they are full length. however the y pipe that comes with hange close to 2 inches lower but it still has some flex so nothing should bust lose or crack.

everyone on here having similar problems... check your plug wires. all 6 or 8 of them. inch by inch. mostly by headers. if one is damaged, most likely a plug wire fault causing rough running.

if you have a rich condition you can end up with some odd backfiring.
