if you have a obd1 scanner you can do this. code reader will not work on 94 up.

1995 is a OBD 1.5 witch is a OBD 1.0 with a computer controlled transmission. The 1995 is the only year with a OBD 1.5 on a Camaro/Firebird. OBD 1.0 scanner won't work, unless someone can show a video that a OBD 1 scanner can scan a OBD 1.5.

94-95 are OBD1 95 is called OBD1.5 because it has a OBD2 connector. The above picture tells you how to use a OBD1 scanner with a 95. FYI the only 4th gen without a computer controlled trans is the 93. 94 has a PCU not a ECU like the 93 has.

Somewhere there is a thread that explains the whole 94-95 nightmare and all the scanners that are plug and play.
