Default lt1/lt4 heads

ok new to this forum . i am buildin a lt1 camaro for my bro i want to do the lt4 cam and heads so my question is if i buy the head kit and it myself will i have to get the heads ported so the vales will fit?

I believe that it should bolt up to the LT1 and work fine with no problems. Are you buying the heads and cam in a package? They are usually sold in a package together.

You will also need a LT4 intake. For the same money you could get much better flowing heads, and a matching cam.

i was going to get a lt4 hot cam kit and was wondering if the valves will fit in the stock heads or would i need to port them or buy diff heads. and yes i have found the cam kits with springs rockers cam but no valves.

i laready have the bigger throttle body and intake and bigger injectors just trying to find the cheapest easiest way to do the hot cam kit and heads

Thats right, I forgot. You will need the LT4 intake to include into the package. This whole package is rather expensive and most choose not to go with the LT4 package because of this.

ok then ur opinion what would be the best thing to then that doesnt cast so much ?

well I'm not sure how much that whole set up costs but alot of guys around here recommend Lloyd Elliot, I believe the website is elliotsportsworks.com or elliotsportworks.com, just google Lloyd Elliot and check the site out

I would go with Trick Flow cylinder heads, stick with the LT4 Hot cam and get the intake ported.

lt4 cam is not that hot.
