It should have one, and if I recall correctly it's on the driver side of the block between plug 1 and 3.

wow... I dont know where to start... okay... I put in an lt4 hot cam kit, headers, pistons... etc... it turns on fine and it sounds sweet, but when I take off it knocks really hard and its really, really, really, slow.... its like it has no hp..... it really blows.... I push the gas all the way down and it does not go.... I am not too sure what it is.... I am a little scared because I put well over 4 grand under the hood..

btw... nice rims

i dont know much, but i read somewere that if you put some headers that dont really fit good, your car will sound like PooP, if the headers are not well fitted then they are the cause of the hard knock. i'll see if i can find that article. thats the only thing i can think off. https://camaroforums.com/m_7880/tm.htmread that, it dosent really say nothing about loosing power. did you install the headers your self??

Your issue may be your LT1 knock module. Replace it with the LT4 module(you can get them for like, 30 bucks off ebay) and see if that clears the issue.

Oh, and I lied to you, the KS is down by the starter. The one between the plugs is the engine temp sensor for the guage. (refer to here http://shbox.com/1/ks.jpg )

I did put the headers on myself, but I also made sure that they were put on right. I got my headers off of Summit, so, I'm guessing that they are good. I think someone had told me to replace the knock module, but now that a second person has told me I think I should buy it. Thanks for the help. I really need my car and your help has pushed me that much further. Once again, thanks

The LT4 knock sensor module reduces the sensitivity to knock, this is to keep the PCM from neddlessly retarding the spark. However, if the car has an audibleknock, like you are described, you probably have some other problem. Are you usning premium fuel? Is the PCM setting any codes? Was the PCM tuned for your mods? You may want to verify all the work you did and pin down the source of the knock, like is it coming from inside the engine (bad), or is it from something loose banging about (easy to fix). The knock sensor assumes that most metallic noises are spark induced knoks and retards the spark to prevent it, and by retarding the spark the power is reduced accordingly. If the knock is due to mechanical problems the LT4 module won't help.

That was well written. I still have yet to get my car tuned and I'm sure most of you guys are calling me a dumbass for not stating that, but I am aware of the tuning. I do not think it's the engine because it is new; however, the wires and things of that nature are not. I'm sure something is wrong, but I don't know what it is. I put Super Unleaded gas on my car; so, I don't think that’s the problem. I think I am going to take it to the dealership and let them fix it. I am tired of paying rinky-dinky mechanics to fix it and it's still not fixed. I am well aware that it’s going to cost me, but I think it might be worth it. If you guys have any other ideas or suggestions, I am open to all. Thank you.
