Default LT1 - Can't seperate the block from the 6 speed trans

I have a 95 Z28 convert and I'm trying to pull the LT1 out to do a rebuild on it. I have the bell housing unbolted from the block and the bellhousing unbolted from the 6 speed trans. The engine will seperate from the bellhousing about 2 inches and that is it. It will not come out any farther. I am trying to pull it out the top because I don't have a twin post lift in the garage. Please help before I start going mental on this new project car of mine. Thanks!

you need to take the slave cylinder off and get the fork off the bearing.
