1996 camaro z-28 6 speed I bought my car in the winter about 3 months ago and I have been having trouble with the oil pressure when I'm stopped it reads 0 oil pressure and the check engine light comes on but when I'm driving the car the oil pressure is low but the light isn't on. If anyone can help me out that would be great thanks

 

Worn bearings or worn oil pump. You may want to verify the oil pressure with a mechanical test gage first. Should have at least 5PSI at idle & 10 PSI for every 1000 RPM. If the pressure checks out low, you may want to try heavier oil tobring up the pressure, but eventually you will need to rebuild the engine before some serious damage occurs.
