Looking to buy a 95. Any problems with them?

Nope...The best year for the Lt1. The opti is vented but it still suks. If you mod it you wont have to worry about emmissions in most states. When i first got mine it was stock and had 200,000 miles and we sprayed it with a 125 shot for several months and ran 12.2 @117 with it for months..When i took it apart the bearings had some wear but they looked good, nothing unusual for the mileage. They will leak when they get older and the opti will need replacing, the coolant system is difficult to bleed and the plugs are hard to change, the engine is difficult to pull but i love the cars. Never letting mine go.

What part of the ignition?
The optispark...the vented is better than prior years but the gm replacement is actually the best..summit has it the acdelco one. around 300 dollars. Not too terribly hard to replace you have to take off all the belts and a few brackets and the three harmonic balancer bolts but the balancer doesnt have to be pulled. just turn the cranck slightly and it will slide by
The coil is easy to relace. it is mounted forward of the drivers side head.
The ignition switch is an easy replacement also.
I also put a 6al on mine to increase the spark efficiency.
