Looking at a 94 z28, what probems to look for?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to join the camaro community. This weekend I'm looking at trading my truck for a 94 z28. Its got like 64,000 miles on it, and I think that I will take the trade as long as its owner likes my truck. That being said, what major problems should I look for in this car? I know the 350 pretty well, because we have a 98 suburban. With 64k on the clock, I shouldn't have many major problems to worry about I think.
Thanks,
Greg

I would check out the undercarriage, maybe have someone put it up on
the rack to check floor pan to see if there had been structural damage to
the car... If doors, hatch, hood don't seem to line up well -- then that's
a clue. Mysterious welds, etc...

Yes take a look underneath the car. When i bought my car the exterior and interior was immaculate, but once i got it back to the shop and gave a good look underneath it seems that it sat for some time...on grass. It had pretty severe rot on the floor pans. Just something to look out for.
