RE: leaf blower
Your argument as in, your statements...lets do some math shall we...
You say that you got 326 HP from your leafblower. Now, you say that your leaf blower is a 250 pound leaf blower, so there's some added weight, my headers and CAI took weight away. You also say that you utilize 12 batteries. A regular car battery weighs about 40 pounds, so total battery weight is about 480 pounds. An alternator weighs about 15 pounds or so, and you have 2 extra of those, so that's an aditional 30 pounds. So you got 50 hp and added 760 pounds to your car. So not only did you pretty much counteract any power that you made, your car probably got slower and it handles worse because you're carrying around a lot more weight...good job dude...

RE: leaf blower
u forget i said wheel horsepower not crank horsepower, there for take away the parasitic loss through the auto trans, and we'll say at 15 percent loss which we all know is on the low side of the spectrum, that would put me at around 380 at the crank which is over 100 hp gain at the crank...learn to read....

RE: leaf blower
Alright, so 100 crank hp, with the addition of 760 pounds. In a 1/4 mile, they say that 10 pounds is worth about 1 hp, so you gained 100 hp, but due to weight, lost about 76, if we convert to wheel hp, that's about 87.4 hp lost. So you gained about 23 usable whp and spent 1200 bucks to power it alone, great economic decision there buddy...

Wait.......a......minute.....
whatif, now stay with me. You put a leaf blower on top of the car ....no no no.....2 of em, one backwards to help with ariflow and aerodynamics, like a jet plane, and one facing forward ....... into..... a sail. think about it.
Seriously, are there any pics of the original post?

RE: leaf blower
wow...cpl, i think you may be onto something!! A sail car...that's like, free hp...
And no, there were no pics origionally, but believe me, it's way possible to get a 250 pound, as big as a full grown man's back leafblower and 3 alternators all under the hood. We all know how much room the LT1 Camaros have under the hood...just oodles of room!
