Default kooks headers and oil pan

well i tried fitting the headers to see how they go in and low and behold they dont fit. the moroso oil level sensor is in the way. i cant believe they designed the pan to not work with headers if its supposed to be compitition. any ideas. only way with this oil pan is to do away with the oil level sensor and plug the hole but then i have issues with the oil sensor.

nope ive got the pan up at the machine shop getting another bung welded in on the angle part. im thinking it will fit. called moroso and they were willing to do the work if i sent it in but i figure that would take a week or two, they got my money. i will also have to do away with the oil cooler something i was not planning on. as u can see there is no room for the filter with the cooler, will have to use the short filter also. i will not recomend kooks for a 93. the header in the pic is not completely in all the way and is resting against the sensor.

I've got a '93 with LPP LTs (basically kooks), and you can use an oil filter relocation kit instead. I kinda combined two kits to make my own, as well as made a mount that fits up front where the AIR pump used to be. It gives the best of both worlds - easy filter changes and Get to keep the cooler! (oil pressure on my setup didn't change at all when installed, so that's not an issue)

she said it would be done in the morning. had to get a tap cause no one had a bolt that size and the shop didnt have a tap with that metric thread. i think im going to have to cut the old sensor off at both ends to make a temporary plug, (maybe) i havent found one yet. did get a filter relocator on the way, thanks go out to rob for that idea, so i will be able to keep the oil cooler. i thought i had this all figured out when i started. lol, not.
