Default intermittent start and sudden shut off

i have a 93 z28. since it started to get hot outside my car has had trouble starting some days maybe 3 or four times out of three weeks. today it didnt want to start again but eventually did after an hour and a half of trying to start it. after it did on my way home from work it suddenly died on me once but started rite back up and i made it home. i put a loose spark plug on a wire and turned it over to see if it would spark and got nothing during the time i was trying to start it. it will start up now if i go to try it right now. any idea whats goin on???

try scanning for trouble codes. it could be the ignition modual, coil, opti, bad connection to any of em, ingnition fuse, or a bad ground. im sure ive missed a few. lets see what i have for testing.
