just buy a msd opti and all your problems will be solved, plug wire were prob cause of opti, and fuel pump and radiator issues is a great excuse to go aftermarket on both, which in the long run will be beneficial. take it as learning your car. do the work yourself and youll save cash and get more patience.

when you got the car it was misfiring, correct? If I'm not mistaken you replaced the plugs and wires but I don't know if that cured the misfire.
You also replaced the WP and opti, is that also correct?
If it was actually a misfire and not a lean/rich issue then you probably have touched the culprit.
I believe that you also soaked your opti, is that also correct?
I had a "new" WP go bad twice within 6 months. Both times it soaked my opti beyond hope.
On the last occasion, when a press fit pipe on the warranty WP came off, my opti was in the deep end it was exposed to so much coolant.
Well, it took me qty 3 GM opti's to finally get a good one. One had bad optics, the second had the rotor come off after 10 miles and the 3rd finally worked!!!!!!! Coolant gets to be expensive when you buy 6 gallons within 6 days.
An MSD will not solve all of your problems. What it will do is relieve your wallet of a lot of hard earned cash. if you plan on doing a lot of racing at the track and spinning the engine to 6k with great frequency then yes, get an MSD.
If 99% of your driving is going to be like the rest of us, then you don't need to spend the money
Think about it, how did most of our cars survive for 100k miles or more on the factory optispark?? They weren't MSD's from the factory now were they?
The first time I replaced my opti I used one from Summit for $250. It ran quite well until the WP took a holiday and i had a buddy get me GM brands for the same price so why not.
