idles fine but wont go. fuel trouble? backfires...

Check the fuel pressure if it is off you might want to check FPR

you know i just found out bye doing it myself. i just change plugs and wires nd come to find out that the long tube headder that i have have gotton so hot that they caused the wires to crack up. and i was having some of the same prob as you. so check them out give little tug and see. none of mine were touching the headers but still.

the opti is about 3 or four months old.

for those who are interested it was the map sensor. it was the one thing nobody suspected.
