I agree with craby, I think it may have something to do with your fuel pump and getting enough fuel pressure.

no, do not turn key to start, what you want to do is prime the fuel pump a few times without turning the key to the start position, only to the on position so you can hear the fuel pump go on then turn off. then turn key off and wait a short time and then turn key on and listen for the fuel pump to come on and go off. if it does not do that then you didn't wait long enough. if you just turn key of then on again right away the pump will not re prime. i

check fuel pressure, maybe try turning the key on then off wait for 10 seconds turn key on then off for 10 sec then try and start. fuel pressure may be low and this may help it to get up. see if that helps.

sounds like your doing it right, leave the key in the on position until the fuel pump stops, you should hear it. do it three time then try turning to the start position and see if it will start up and run. if fuel pump is not coming on then that may be the issue.

^ You shouldn't have to listen too hard for the pump, you should hear it in the drivers seat.

ok, well have fuel pressure check when you can. how old are the spark plugs?
|
Does it start then die or a few cylinders fire and die? Or do you not hear any cylinder firing until it starts?
