Default I think my fuel pump is done

My car will sometimes run a little bad (misses, hesitates), and then after a bit it warms up and works itself out. Then if I go to dive it maybe half an hour later is spits and sputters bad. Sometimes it does start hard. I hooked up a fuel pressure tester up and it does read low, (like 20-25). And if you rev it at idle it drops to about 18-19. Think my pump is going out, or is there a sensor or something I can rule out first?

only other thing i can think of is the fuel pressure regulator. bad relay should make the pump not work at all. not low pressure but no pressure.

i was wondering if you got the problem fixed and what it actually was that was causing it to run like that?

Yeah I did, it ended up being my fuel pump. It was running about half psi (18-23Lbs)

mines running 12psi. im trying to figure out if its the pump or fuel pressure regulator. its been like that for a several month and i currently dont have a job so its kinda hard to scrape up 200+ for the pump. what pump did you use in yours?

Just the $170 pump from auto zone. If you do end up replacing the pump, I recommend that you cut a hole out in the hatch. Way better than dropping the tank. Turns it into a 20 minute job

If your running low pressure it could be the regulator, pump or even the filter. I would replace the filter no matter what.
