i want to upgrade my car. i have 1993 z28 camaro. so far i have cai, 2200 stall converter, hooker aero muffler, and shift kit. i want to put some header or it. but what is good short or long tube headers. how much hp do headers add.also i want to put a chip in the car. how much will the chip cost. what about gears right now im running 2.73s what would be good for take off speed and long runs.i really dont want add nitro to the car because it my dd an i would probly wait until i rebuilt the engine for that. any suggestion would greatly be appreciated.

and under no circumstances should nitro ever be run in your car. Nitromethane is not the intended fuel. However, nitrous oxide, or nitrous for short, is a pretty stable power adder that wont negatively affect a motor even as old as yours as long as you are smart about it

 

3.73 gears would be a good gear for every day driving and the strip on the weekends. Maybe a hipo fuel pump with a edlebrock intake and a bbk 52 or 58 mm throttle body.

 

750cfm double pump 4barrell carb and a gutted cat.

As for nitro... if it doesnt work then how come on all those sweet racing arcade games from the 90s always had "nitro"? lol

sorry for being so harsh, but usually when I hear a statement including the words "Nitro, nos, nawz..." or any variation thereof i usually take whatever the person says about it and run 180 degrees in the other direction with it. If he had said the next step was to slap some nitro on it i would have warned against it, the reason being its safe to assume that not enough reading and research has taken place yet using this terminology, because apparently his research was done in that old truck dirt racing arcade game....

like i said, not trying to be a complete ***, but ur symptoms tell me you just need to do more reading.

hey everyone i need some serious help!! so first off i just bought a 95 z with 90000 owned by an older gentlemen which has had something done including bore of .20 high volume oil pump bigger oil pan high volume water pump new opti and a mild comp cam and a complete k&n intake. The wierd thing is that he did all these things with completely stock exhaust stock TB Stock intake manifold and no head work besides the needed for the cam. I am wondering what mods would wake up my car the most with these other mods considered and by the way it is an m6
