As hard as the plugs are to change, buy the ones that will last the longest and work properly. If your car is stock, go with the factory issue platinum plug (AC 49-106). They are a little pricey but they will go for 100K without any problems. While you are under there, change the plug wires also, and again go with the best, unless you are a masochist.

I put autolite plats in there and it is running pretty crappy and i here bad things about autolites but i dont know if its the plugs or the wires that are arent right. It has a problem with carbon build up too. I put a new distributor in it along with a MSD cap and rotor so it shouldnt be any of that. I just cant find the problem and i would hate to start replacing stuff i really dont need. i have taken and installed them plugs in and out now all week. before them were some autolite iridium plugs which burned a liitle cooler so i heard.
