i need some advice
my camaro is a 93 z28 lt1. it has 51000 miles on it and nothing has been done to it its all original down to the alternator nothing has ever been replaced.(besides the front and rear so it looks like a newer model and rims and tires) i would like to get this car alot faster its a automatic and i have a shift kit thats all. what can i start with to get some horse power.(what can a chip do)? any feed back will be appreciated thanks
That being said.. where do you guys shift to get best gas mileage? I used to shift really low, like 2200 being max and diving between 1500-2000 rpm. But then I started shifting closer to 2300-2500 and It shifts much smoother. What do you guys do?
i wish it had a manual but the shift kit is nice i can catch tires in 2 and 3rd. with 295 tires in the rear. took it to the track and it ran 13.3 not too bad i guess for being pretty mutch stock besides the shift kit. but i want it faster, soon i will start on getting the hp up i dont care about the gas or i wouldnt of bought the car but what i paid for it it was a steal
4500 it was a friend of mine who i bought it from but i helped him a while ago work on it then he decided to sell it to me for way less than what was in to it

But I'll try that, definitely. Because right now it's burning a gigantic hole in my pocket. Gas has gone up a few cents in my area compared to yesterday, which could be the start of a crescendo in gas prices.
