I'm still getting about 20 in town, and 26 hwy with all the mods I have. I think a good tune can help out a lot with mpg.

A tune was like my first mod, and all I have is bolt-ons. At 3400# you should be at 12.30's or better. Mods in sig.

That being said.. where do you guys shift to get best gas mileage? I used to shift really low, like 2200 being max and diving between 1500-2000 rpm. But then I started shifting closer to 2300-2500 and It shifts much smoother. What do you guys do?

i wish it had a manual but the shift kit is nice i can catch tires in 2 and 3rd. with 295 tires in the rear. took it to the track and it ran 13.3 not too bad i guess for being pretty mutch stock besides the shift kit. but i want it faster, soon i will start on getting the hp up i dont care about the gas or i wouldnt of bought the car but what i paid for it it was a steal

torque converters love to eat gas...if it wasn't so much damn fun having it in there then it would come out for gas reasons

Well mine is in good shape visually, but not mechanically. I need new rear end bearings, new water pump and I have leaks. The ABS light comes on every now and then and sounds really loud the first two times I brake on every trip. And I ran outta battery twice, which I was told could potentially screw up the whole tune of the car. Someone told me I might need a head gasket too...but I think he was just BSing. I mean can you really tell by the noise a car makes? meh, I don't think so.

But I'll try that, definitely. Because right now it's burning a gigantic hole in my pocket. Gas has gone up a few cents in my area compared to yesterday, which could be the start of a crescendo in gas prices.
