I was wondering if the hypertech peogrammer for my 1994 z28 would be a waste of money do they actually work?can i feel the difference?how much hp could i expect to gain?

 

They work, you'll probably get about 30 hp out of it. You can also improve the shift points. All it does is increase your timing and it requires you to use premium. It has preset programs to also increase the pressure in the trans line to give firmer crisper shifts. If you got money, it's worth the investment. I personally would do most of your other mods first and then have the computer tailored to your needs.

 

I tried one in my old 94, and the 30HP is pretty generous, look more in the range of 10-15. For less money than the cost of a new Hypertech, you can get the PCM completely reprogrammed on an exchange basis, and all of your mods will be considered.
