yeah thanks i just checked the site out. i really dont have that much and from reading it dont look like they are turn kea so i would have to come up with more money or buy the cheapest one they have which is no where near what im wanting. it really seems that building it myself seems much more cheaper to get what im wanting.

to see 10's and low 11's youl need over 550 HP, 600 to be safe, and thats with alot of work to the suspension, and some fat slix.
Definitely, and that is being on the conservative side. As an example, I went with a friend of mine to get his Cobra dyno tuned, a smaller blower pulley installed, and subframe connectors welded in. On the 4th pull the dyno showed 489 RWHP, or about 560 HP at the crank. We went for a conservative tune so as not to damage the engine. (I know this is Camaro forum, but I'm just trying to make a point, I still like Camaros more) Anyways, on the following day we took the car to Island Dragway in NJ and the car was running good, but couldn't get out of the low 12s & high 11s, using drag radials. So to get into the 10's requires a pretty stout engine.

For $5000 bucks i had a stroker 383 motor built and it puts around 430 to the wheels. It also has a real small duration cam and 10:1 compression pistons to alow for the supercharger. With a nasty cam and 11:1 you can run 500rwh no problem and its is within your budget. Dont buy all new **** just upgrade yours. Then when you are at the track you dont have to tell someone you ordered your car from jegs.com.. Building is better.

yeah thats what im going to do. im going to do all the bolt ons and put new heads cam and probly do a 396 stroker or meybe a 383. and im going to run a super charger one day so it will be built for that but a super charger runs around 3-5 grand so that will be way later. im going to build the engine with my brother i dont know when we will be actually starting cuz my settlement hasnt came through yet but its a for sure thing. they havent even gave me a offer yet there still getting all my doctor bills and ****. but my lawyer says they have to pay my lost wages and pain and suffering as well my over 7000$ doctor bills. my lost wages is around 3000 and plus the car thats book value is at 6000 on NADA so im looking at getting at least 5000. probly more but im not counting my doc bills there paying that to the doctor i wont ever see that money. so when i get the money pics will be of the 100s and there will be a thread about it that will be updated every day. and we may need help so ill be on everyday. and any advice on the build is well appreciated.

The LT4 ran 10.8:1 from the factory, reverse coolant flow on the LT series allows you to get 11.0:1 on pump gas and you can still pass emissions.
