so i have a 95 z and i blew the motor and just got done rebuilding it and i got it back in and primed and bruped and everything fine when i took it out to drive it i got about 500 ft and it died and wont start back up it has a new coil and module and still wont start so im lost also will the oil pressure swith mess with the ignition system at all

 

ok this is what i found out the pig tail that comes off the opti on the passenger side and ties in to the engine harness is bad and not woking right i wasnt getting spark at first then i messed with that then all of a sudden it started and then i knew that was it

i really hope you changed the opti during all this...no sense having a rebuilt motor with a worn out opti. really hope you got her fixed though man! keep us posted!

 

yeah it was the opti wiring harness and a new opti was put in just before i bought it yeah it is running great it has as few issues to work out and im sure a o2 sensor will fix a couple of thing but not hing that is real big right know and it sound great the motor was punched out 30 over and a 510/510 comp cam and sealed power pistons and decked block and heads with a 3 angle valve job bumped the compression up to 10.897:1 so it should run really nice once shes broken in
