Before messing with the heads, have the coolant tested for combustion gases, and do a compression test. Are the fans running when the car overheats?
The MSD coil works fine with the stock ignition as long as all stock parts are in good condition. However, the higher voltage will amplify any small problems, such as marginal wires, distributor cap, etc. Why are you changing ignition parts when you are concerned with overheating?

well you said it had an abnormal amout of coolant loss, i would check for any leaks in the hoses to the radiator and water pump, if you do see some leaking around the heads then it could be the gaskets, you said the car gets hot way to fast, check to make sure the fans are coming on, they are supposed to come on around 226 degrees farenheit if its stock, if its not the fans it could be the thermostat, check to make sure the radiator is full of coolant and that the resevoir is to the full mark, dont over fill it

The fans come on I know it aint the water pump I change that I don't think its the hoses to there is no leak from the car at all just the overflow tank leaks when it gets hot that's it no leaks by the heads just somke when I was driveing it I don't know how the coolant was gone so fast it got to be the radiator and I got a new thermostat put in I think its the 190 one but my fans are hook up to a switch and when I did that the car was runing fine but it got hot again just like it did before

if its leaking from the overflow tank, usually that means there is too much coolant in it, when coolant gets hot it expands, probably why its leaking from the overflow tank
