Default help me, any ideas welcome

I have a 95 z28. automatic. it dies when i'm going down the road. doesn't seem to matter, hot, cold, uphill, downhill, turning, or going straight. the motor just dies, no stutter or anything, just like you cut the key off, but all the dash lights and everything else are still operational. it also sometimes won't start after it has been parked. doesn't seem to matter how long it sits. but if you wait about 5 to 30 minutes it will fire right back up and run like a new one...
i've replaced the coil and the ignition module...
if anyone has any ideas please let me know...
btw my car has the obd1 system and the obd2 plug so reading the codes is more than a bit difficult...
any ideas welcome
thanks
cody

1. Check engine light on? 2. Security Light on? 3. You are gonna have to trouble shoot that one. Next time it doesnt start, pull the #1 plug wire. Stick a screw driver in the plug boot hold it close to the block and turn it over/look for spark. If that isnt it, move to fuel...check pressure in fuel rail, pull the cap off and stick the same screw driver ito the pressure relief valve/see if fuel sprays out(could be pump). That will be a good start I suspect one of those two to be the culprit. If you find it is ignition or fuel send me a message and i will try to take you through the next steps. I cant make a good diagnosis without the car and little info. Hope this is of use.

That same thing happened to me with my Nissan Altima. Granted, a Nissan and a Camaro are two completely different cars, but with mine, it ended up being the knock sensor and the temperature sensor. Sensors can play havok and it doesn't take much for one to malfunction without any kind of notice. Just something to think about. Like I said, they're two completely different cars, but it could be something as simple as a faulty sensor, just have to figure out which one.

i have a nissan altima too:-D 289,000 miles and only a trans. replacement...I think nissan has notoriously bad wiring though, my friends with 240sx and 300zx's are always having wiring issues. My windows have started to roll themselves down in the rain and the radio and cluster come on and go off randomly..Nissans are a whole other headache sometimes. LOL
